Ranj x Clifr Are ‘Tamils Loose In London’

Fresh off the heels of her debut mixtape 27 CLUB with producer Clifr, singer-songwriter Ranjani Ramadoss aka RANJ, is jetsetting to London for SXSW (South by Southwest) festival. Ranj x Clifr are slated to play on June 4 at the culture and arts festival, where they’ll play a mix of songs from the 27-track Tamil-English mixtape, alongside unreleased music.

The R&B and hip-hop duo share with Billboard India their travel trivia:

On their travel essentials?

Clean underwear, rave glasses and a ‘Tamils loose in London for the first time’ energy.

On London plans?

Check out record stores, thrift stores and meet new people to make music with when we are there!

On artists to check out at SXSW?

Excited for the other south asian artists and Earl Sweatshirt.

Travel advice for musicians?

Try your best to not eat on time or get too much rest. Push the limits and have a reckless time.

On prep before a show?

Just try to stay hydrated and get a good night’s sleep before the show for the voice.

On instrument care when travelling?

Hard case and pray to the lord that your instrument reaches in one piece.

On London F&B?

Beer from the local pubs, and convenience store finds.

Go-to jet lag cure?

Our sleep schedule is so messed up here already, jet lag has nothing on us.
