This Week In Music: Billboard India’s Essential 6

The music industry never stops. From new labels to new music, there is always something for listeners to look forward to. Billboard India helps you cut through the noise and pick the essentials you need to know to stay up to date.

  1. Sidhu Moosewala’s Signed To God Hologram World Tour opens in Toronto

The Signed To God World Tour makes its debut in Toronto on October 9, making Sidhu Moosewala the first Indian artist to be brought back to stage with holograph technology: joining a list with Tupac, Whitney Houston, and ABBA on it. The music video for his all-time top track “295” will premiere at the Toronto show, with Bohemia, Raja Kumari, Sikander Kahlon, and Sunny Malton joining the run.

  1. Sunburn goes off EDM Script and enters dance-pop territory with Jason Derulo

Sunburn is evolving, and managing public sentiment alongside it. The announcement of Jason Derulo as the fourth headliner for Sunburn Festival 2027 was preceded by a statement that dance-pop was on the menu for the festival that has brought EDM legends like Martin Garrix, Skrillex, Alan Walker, and David Guetta to India. With Sebastian Ingrosso, DJ Snake, and The Chainsmokers as the other three top acts across December 18-19 in Mumbai, fan reactions have been mixed about the organisers breaking the norm.

One of K-pop’s biggest cultural exports, HYBE’s Weverse Con Festival, is going global after four years anchored in Korea, and its first stop is New Delhi on 27-28 March 2027. HYBE, the festival’s parent company and the label behind BTS, made Mumbai its fifth global headquarters in September 2025 and hit the ground running with countrywide auditions for a new girl group. That continued presence has set the stage for Weverse Con’s India debut, with the line-up promising to feature both Korean and Indian acts. Tickets go live towards the end of October.

  1. General ticket sales for Diljit’s Aura World Tour in India go live on October 9

Diljit Dosanjh announced his homecoming show at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on November 21 with much flair during a performance at Wembley last month. It has since grown to six more cities across November and December, presented by BookMyShow Live and Live Nation. Presales opened on October 6, and General Sales go live on October 9.

  1. Arijit Singh announces nine-city India tour to mark 20 years of music
