Arijit Singh’s India Tour Tickets Are In A League Of Its Own

Premium seating passes for the singer’s shows next year are as high as Rs 12 lakh

Arijit Singh’s India Tour Tickets Are In A League Of Its Own

Earlier this month, Arijit Singh announced his India tour, which will cover nine cities over the course of five months. The tour, which will celebrate Singh’s 20 years in music, is his first major announcement after he retired from playback singing earlier this year.

Fans of Singh, who ranks as the most streamed artist in India on Spotify year on year, are thrilled. But the tickets don’t come cheap. They start at a reasonable Rs 999 (entry-level seats at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad) but go up to Rs 11.8 lakh for a 15-seater table (at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai and at JLN Stadium, Delhi.) The premium tier demand also extends to Hyderabad, Jaipur, Indore, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, and Pune – at prices from Rs 7-10 lakh for the top-rung tables.

What does that get you? A 15-seater table, couch seating with premium alcohol bottles, dedicated entries, exits and lavatories, and exclusive gifts. The cost of the ticket also includes a dedicated content creator who will film your concert experience and deliver edited Reels the next day. However, no meet and greets with Singh is promised. These premium tables are selling out not just in metropolitan cities, but also in the budding live economies of Hyderabad, Indore, and Jaipur.

As the touring season kicks off, major Indian artists with formidable fan bases like Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Aujla, Shreya Ghoshal, will be seen touring across the country. However, none of them have introduced premium pricing to this degree. Dosanjh’s highest ticket offering for his upcoming AURA India Tour is capped at Rs 17,999 (for the same venue as Arijit in Mumbai), Shreya Ghoshal’s at Rs 20,000, and Karan Aujla’s Rs 15 lakh lounge pass was for one stop in his P-Pop Culture Tour 2025 at MMRDA Grounds, Mumbai.

Singh’s shows’ high prices have often been cause for speculation before as well. In 2023, a 40-seater Premium Lounge in Pune sold for Rs 16 lakh. But perhaps, he’s the only Indian artist who can pull this off. According to thumpN, the exclusive ticketing partner for the upcoming tour, as of October 15, they’ve already sold out close to about 60% of the inventory.

“Arijit speaks to a very wide demographic. We’ve seen three, even four generations of families at his shows. The decision often happens at the family level: ‘I have to talk to my parents, I want to bring my grandmother, so I need to check the seating’,” says Meghana Bhogle, Head of Brands and Marketing at thumpN. (Singh is one of the investors for thumpN.)

This time around, the tour will be catering to almost half a million fans. To accommodate Singh’s broad fanbase, the platform had to double the holding capacity of each venue to make space for tickets at price points that swung from affordable to ultra premium. Varun Khare, CEO of thumpN, adds, “That’s something [Arijit’s team] is very cognisant of: ensuring that all strata are able to take part.”
